This is how to go through the Torii-gate, in Japanese shrine, Jinja.
Actually there are a lot of Torii-gates in a shrine, and everytime you go through the gate, you should stop and bow just before it.
Additionally, central part of the roads in Jinja is for Kami-sama (God), and not for human. so, we should keep leftside of the roads when we walk.
